feeBay nuked its scale categories

Postby Chris Webster » Tue Oct 12, 2021 8:42 am

Most of my saved ebay search emails broke overnight and went I went to feeBay to check I discovered that I am no longer able to browse by categories. I went to their support pages and found this:
Category Changes - October 2021

All the subcategories that were under "Model Railroads & Trains | ID: 180250" have been consolidated. The changes are listed here:
https://pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation/news/categorychanges/preview2021.html

If I'm reading the list correctly, feebay kept the "Power & Control | ID: 180339" subcategory, but moved everything else that was under model trains into a single new "Railroads & Trains | ID: 262301" subcategory.

Oh well, all good things must come to an end.

I was wondering if I was imaging this and/or if it was a glitch in another update to my computer browsers....but your observation is exactly what I've also been able to confirm.

They've done a great job of killing off this entire area of sales by rendering itself entirely pointless now.

With every "improvement" they make, the worse things are.

They who are running things are totally clueless.

Seems to be a consistent pattern; have to wonder if "they" ever actually use their own platform.

And I see that OGR nuked the thread on the topic, too......those boys are about as sharp as a bag of wet mice.....
