Someone got a deaL, these T-1s are great engines ...

...and usually go for about twice whet the buyer got it for. I was very lucky and got one for $200.00 at a train show.

It may look like a deal now. When the Salvation Army packs it and ships it to you for $11.80. It will be a headache.

Really? I've gotten some rather good deals arriving very well packed from the Salvation Army. The last thing they need is a string of negative feedback from damaged in route sales.

I paid $975 I think it was back when they were new. 10 years later I got one on eBay for $268 admittedly that was luck. These are a nice BIG engines going for nothing now, the best deal out there.
This is a perfect example of why I don't buy expensive new engines anymore, well actually also because I'm old and should be selling, not buying.

If you are enjoying them, what the heck! You aren't taking either the money or the engine with you when you go. Have a good time before you do!
