Traction items on the Bay

Postby Rufus T. Firefly » Mon Oct 23, 2017 7:36 am

For several weeks now this seller has been liquidating a never ending collection of traction items.

I for one am amazed at the prices that stuff has been selling for; well beyond what I'm willing to pay for stuff. 1/2 to 3/4 finished body shells selling for several $100's, etc.....

The basic Zimmer flat car, unfinished and lacking more than few details with 5 days to go at $58?

So, whoever bought the scratchbuilt detailed one from me in Indy last month - you got a real bargain!

I should built more of these to take to Chicago,

Once again, I reiterate, I could build it for less!!! Had a chance to experiment with paint hues yet?

Yes! I sold one for less in Indy,

Nope! This month has been a fully booked carnival of crazy although a good bit of that might actually go away in another week.

The traction items that ctbutton has listed on eBay are from
the Dr. Tom Jarrett estate. Some of the prices realized are
astronomical, particularly the one that have Wagner markings.

I was told (by a different source) that the Dr. & his wife lived in
the same neighborhood as Rich and Birdie Wagner, and that
they knew each other socially, hence the amount of Wagner
items being offered.

I had not heard of Dr. Tom Jarrett before, has any one else?
Take care,
Wolfgang
