Judging by the tree trunk visible through the building, it's pretty well gutted. That would probably be an awfully expensive refurbishment.

The tree trunk visible through the building is outside the building and not a reflection on the condition of the building.
Here you can see in this view the tree trunk has been removed and the station boarded up to limit the amount of vandalism as plans to restore the building are underway.

It is currently being restored with the intent of turning into a museum. Restoration has started with roof and stucco repairs (Epoxy Injection
Plaster Restoration and Stabilization.)

Central California Traction Company Freight Motor #10 was originally built by Cincinnati & Lake Erie Railroad in 1930 and numbered #638.

It was sold in 1940 to the Central California Traction Company and fitted with Brill 27MCB3X trucks, GE 205 motors, and GE M controls.

It was sold to Pacific Electric in 1947. Sadly it was damaged in transit and scrapped at Torrance, CA.
