Nice photo!
Trolley still runs up through part of S. Franklin St. in Tampa. Best part of one of my days when last in Tampa was riding the trolley up to & back from Ybor City....

I've not been to Tampa, but I'd like to get down there to see a ballgame before they tear down the stadium or move the team (or both).
The photo is a crop from a 16mb downloaded .tif from the Library of Congress. Detroit Publishing must have used absolutely huge plates for these photographs such that one can get this level of resolution grabbing just a piece of a photo. Some of Detroit's naval photos are nearly unbelievable in their detail.

The old brain is a little rusty, but as I recall, you drive right past the ballpark on I-75. I went down to St. Pete Beach to visit a friend whose family had a vacation house there. His daughter flew in from Massachusetts, and we picked her up at Tampa International. I didn't see a lot of it, but from what I saw, Tampa was pretty much a grid work of rectangles. To be fair, I didn't see that much of it and some of that experience was when we went to the Jai alai Fronton when it was dark.

We went there a few years ago; for me it was a return - found the house where I lived as a young child - the things you don't forget....

Wow, that is super unusual (at least to me). Floor-to-ceiling windows, to start.

It is probably a semi-convertable; the windows are removed for the summer.
