I can;t make out what the drawing has printed about the trucks but they are interesting in the picture.
Is it B-A, B-1, 2-A ?

The two-wheel “truck” is the driver, at least that’s what’s indicated in the drawing. That surprises me, as I would have thought the power truck would have been the four-wheel one at the front. Being gasoline powered, maybe it’s built on a truck frame. I have a copy of the accompanying article, so maybe I should read it.

Yes,that could be. The engine and all up front with rear wheel drive. I had not heard of that in railroad use.

Drive shaft back from motor in front to rear axle just like a truck?
