Really a great rebuild here. I’ve been following along and have garnered quite a few ideas for the interiors of my models. Just watched the bobber caboose video last night. I have one of the Train Craft bobbers in my pile to build. I really like bobber cabooses and have too many. Maybe we should do a bobber caboose thread on the 2 rail forum.

Thanks! I'm getting close to having the end railing now, so I might be able to complete this project soon. Finding the figures to populate the interior that fit the scene seems challenging. But no great rush on that particular detail.

I too have an affinity for the bobbers and also probably way too many of them......somewhere on the shelves and in the stack. Good play value in getting them together and dressing them up. Bobber thread.....do we not have a caboose thread?

This is coming along terrific. Adding the interior bits gives quite a bit of clarity as to the car’s utility from a layout perspective. It’s going to be quite unique when you finish.

Has me wondering about the era it’s meant to model. My guess would be early 20th century, maybe 1910-1925.

Figured I should take it a bit over in interior. If could fine some period figures I'd be really happy with it....looking for Kaspar Gutman and Joel Cairo,

I'm told that the one end was closed in 1927, so after that date for this configuration.

Etched 0.005 brass end railing parts :!:

Have to snip them apart, double them up, solder to a top former, get some mounting wires in place.....
