A French acquaintance sent me a picture of this layout he's currently helping to dismantle:



What's really unusual is that all of the structures on the layout are ceramic, handmade by the former owner. Here's an engine shed as an example:



That's some pretty amazing work.

The builder apparently passed away quite a few years ago and his widow is just now getting around to figuring out what to do with it.

Hefty chunk of change to buy and probably comes with a never-ending maintenance bill of heroic proportions.

Not to shabby for 2.3M. Couldn’t touch that for 3.3M in Maryland. Host a couple weddings a month and you could probably cover the mortgage.
