Big real rocks on the layout.

Postby v8vega » Tue Feb 01, 2022 12:15 pm

I was reading a old OGRR magazine and someone had lugged a bunch of big real rocks on his layout. Looked alright but very heavy. Anyone else seen this, first I have seen in magazine layout articles or videos. Also a lot of layouts that are sort of hi rail have no plaster work on them at all. no mountains.

Probably warrants the way they build some of their benchwork. I haven’t seen that but nothing would surprise me on OGR. All natural look I’m sure but the weight could be a factor I suppose if you were under constructed. I’m sure it’s a lot less messier than plaster and rock castings but I like the results I get. I’ll stick with my fake rocks.
