MrMuffin'sTrains auctions

Is he for real doing auctions? Opening bids makes Trainz look like a bargain bin...

It appears he is doing this mostly pro bono to help people out. I gather if an item doesn't sell it is relisted at a lower starting bid. He also tests the items before listing I believe, so it's a lower risk than many auctions. Seems like an honest and community oriented fellow. I think he runs the business for pleasure rather than as a source of needed income.

Perhaps calling it an auction then is a bit of a stretch as the prices frequently appear to reflect considerable reserves; more of a consignment operation.
