Tesla's "Full Self Driving" software costs $10,000... it is still in beta and the driver has to constantly monitor what it is doing.

If it is "successfully" performing as a "full self driving" vehicle why would/should I be monitoring it? Isn't that a really expensive oxymoron? If they want me to beta test it, shouldn't they be paying me the $10K?

Because the DOT has not approved its full time use as an autonomous system.

But this also has nothing to do with Menard's first loco - conflating apples with oranges or worse apples with armadillos.

The OGR thread hit 20 pages and took a twist. Apparently, one of the ebay flippers is a forum sponsor and it's not going over so well.

Now that's funny; put it up in the display case with the Hess trucks.

Because we are using the Microsoft model of software testing.

If you sit down at the table and can't figure out who the tester is, it's you.

Only in the Microsoft world do people pay for the privilege of being guinea pigs (software testers of products they purchase).

Oh wait. That's not true. We forgot about MTH and DCS.
