Nice. What mod's did you make? MTH loco's usually pull pretty well. Nice drive train, nice shells, it was the electronics that gave me fits!
Once I built a railroad, I made it run,
Made it race against time.
Once I built a railroad, now it's done --
Brother, can you spare a dime?

It may not be important but the real ones usually pulled one car and had trouble with two.

I had thought about one but the cost to two-rail it stopped me.

Curious as to how much trouble that might really be to do?

First, I would have to buy a lathe!

I would have thought it might be easier than that and that suitable replacement wheelsets might be available from NWSL.

I was thinking primarily about the power truck modifications. And at the time (I was mainly trolley and still am, I guess) I did not know much about NWSL except that they existed. I have since bought a set of wheels from them to convert a Lionel modern hopper with rotating roller-bearing caps to two-rail. I wish that all "aftermarket" products did their intended job as well and as easily as those wheelsets from NWSL! Everything fit perfectly.
