Paint recommendation wanted

Postby G3750 » Sat Jun 12, 2021 11:18 am

All:

I am looking for the proper color of yellow paint to use on caboose ends (railings). This would be some sort of "safety yellow". Any suggestions as to paint make & number?

Thanks,

George

Tamiya X-8, Gloss "Lemon Yellow". It's a good match for safety yellow.

BTW, it looks best when applied over gloss black.

Thank you! Some Pennsy experts recommended Model Master 4683 Chromate Yellow, which I acquired. I am going for a dirty, sloppy, rusted look for a mill caboose.

That's definitely not what the Tamiya looks like. It's more of a pristine just applied look.

Too bad you can't upload pics here. My photo hosting site is long gone.
