#65 handcar...C-6?

Postby ScaleCraft » Sat Nov 28, 2020 10:17 pm

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lionel-65-Vint ... 2971761942

How can it be C-6 when it has broken parts?

These were bad when new...the "figures" didn't "bend" as desired and broke..like both arms on one figure.
What kind of twaddle is this?:

"This is a Lionel #65 Motorized Hand Car from 1962-66. Watch as the men pump the car down the track. It is self propelled. This was one of the last motorized units produced during the Postwar Era.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. The car and figures have been repainted. The blue figure's arms are broken. The motor is frozen. There are a couple of minor nicks. The original box is not included. Check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Very Good.

This item has been tested and does not operate as expected. "

So.....repainted...broken parts...motor frozen (and how do you then watch the men pump the car?) , but does not operate as expected? No box? Very Good? C-6?

A new low for Trainz. Not worth the cost of shipping.

John Long is gonna love this.

TCA grading standards are easy for postwar collectors to interpret. The people at Trainz obviously know nothing about postwar because that can't even interpret the published grading standards. They must think having a TCA number makes them knowledgeable the same way a number of bone heads with TCA numbers are posting over graded junk on ebay. Sad the TCA doesn't stand by their mission statement and give these clowns the boot. The integrity is all but gone.

Maybe start the bid at $.09 on this if they pay the postage or buy it now for $.10.
As Rufus says ( not a quote ) junk.
