Nice, Is that a kit or scratch built? Who makes the stake pockets?

Scratch and just the starting point.....stake pocket are either old All Nation or USH.
Wish I could find more!

Yes, I have used those in the past - white metal castings; not thinner brass.
Then there are also the ones from Grandt Line and I have used many of those.

Nice job of detailing and weathering. Adding moss to an old roof is something I wouldn’t have even thought of (although I see it on real roofs more frequently in recent years). That cap on the stovepipe is a nice detail as well. Yard office?

Agreed! It’s listed as a yard office or small depot.

I haven’t built any type of train before so I’m going to try my hand at this kit. It is from Foothill Model works. Hoping I can make it come out as good as it looks on the box! Lots of parts. Instruction 1, wash the parts with soap and water to remove any mold release residue that may inhibit the paint’s ability to stick. Not much fun so far

Re: The Modelers Thread
They generally make decent kits; should be a good build.
Resin kit....might also give it a quick wipe down with alcohol and/or lacquer thinner, too. I've not had the best of luck with the soap & water.
I'd rather just build the same car in wood,
