There is so much paint on this...thing....it is running off the edges of the roof, has adhered the shell to the deck, covered the blades on the fans, melted the vents on the nose, every handrail is missing, except the grabs on one end, and they just had to brush the roof with a different color blue, didn't they?

$45. No. $12 to ship, no. The amount of work to strip it back, then find all the missing railings and supports, repaint, re-decal (see the CONRAIL on the end not even close to centered?), and after all that, you have a dummy.

That's a Red Caboose GP-9 kit! I've build one. The had rails on the nose are add on's, aka not molded in! The frame is the kit frame intended for two rail chain drive. The steps are fixed to the frame. They just figured out a way to put a couple of dummy trucks on that frame. I guess you could say its on its way to the scrap yard? I've never seen such a sloppy paint job/assembly on what is/was a pretty nice kit.

You mean the number boards and class lights? Some of the lift rings are still on the long hood but they are completely filled in. Look like ping pong paddles! Wow!!!!!! Looks more like "blue brush on sludge" than paint. An example of how NOT to paint anything.

Almost as bad as the work study's that painted a book case to the concrete floor in the shop. No newspaper, no attempt to put shims under it. Extra heavy coat required a utility knife to cut it free AFTER the five days it took to dry.

BTW, the real give away on the Red Caboose unit was the lack of the giant Phillips head screw that usually secures the shell to the frame which is clearly shown in the nice Conrail photos.

I still can't believe someone actually paid for that "custom" botch job of a dummy locomotive. There is definitely a dummy involved, probably a couple of them.

Polar opposite of the POS unit that was on eBay. I can't imagine how they did what they did to that model. House paint that was brushed on and then over sprayed with lint from the clothes dryer?

Skill levels vary ;but if you don't know what you are doing,one should not practice on that jeep!
