Weekend Photos - 8/9/19

Happy Friday!
As promised - here's some shots of the layout I'm working on now.
Yes it's small, but it fits the space perfectly. Kids love it, so that's what matters. Really wanted to get 2 trains on there, but I'm not a fan of overcrowding.
With a couple days to go before Christmas, NS OLS painted Dash-9 9252 is leading an eastbound 700 series coal train through Riverside on the old Virginian.
A rare SD70M is on the point of westbound 67X as it ducks under the now removed 257 intermediates on the Pittsburgh Line's west slope.
A pair of CSX GE motors is seen heading through Homestead, PA with a coal train on the ex P&LE Pittsburgh Sub
An oddity in the helper pool was this pair of SD60Es being used for a short time. We see them digging in as 66X drops down the slide in Gallitzin, PA.
NS ET44AC 3621 leads a westbound FRA inspection train through Chirstiansburg, VA in evening light
As dusk approaches, Amtrak's Pennsylvanian departs Altoona with the final destination of Pittsburgh just a couple of hours away.
Also, I'm proud to announce that I was approached by a publishing company to create a book using some of my photos. It was a year long effort to edit them, write all the material & get everything squared away, but the book is now out & available from major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Barnes & Noble, etc. Check it out !
