Happy Friday!!

Working on the wiring this week so not much to show as far as progress. I did get all the track activated accessories hooked up though. Working on the other accessories this week & then moving on to scenery.

Often overlooked 1654 steamer leads set 1401 from 1946 on the inside loop. This little engine is solid & pulls extremely well.

Shades of OWL - In a scene out of the 1950's, N&W 611 arrives into Barber Junction w/ a late night Powhatan Arrow. NCTM did a night photo shoot w/ 611 over Labor Day weekend that I was lucky enough to attend
Image

Took Lucia & Giovanna to see 611 on Labor Day. The pic below is Giovanna's reaction after hearing 611's whistle in person for the first time -

The 1654 and 1655 are two nice small loco's emerging shortly after the war. Both are updates of the prewar 204/1684 as I recall. Lionel must have sold a bzillion of them, all four combined.

The tinplate tunnel looks great...interested to see how it gets worked into the scenery.

Christopher,
I hope your kids never lose the joy that I always see in your photos of them.

I was very on the fence about using the 919L tunnel. I kind of wanted a more realistic tunnel/mountain but my wife & kids think the tinplate one looks better

I liked the photo near Hummelstown. We were members of the Hummelstown Swim Club for awhile in the 2000s. It was great relaxing near the pool and periodically watching NS trains run past.

Although I am not a bid fan of that particular loco,
I would go out of my wayfor many miles to see any steam loco in operation.
Have even done that for static displays of steam locos.
I marvel at how it all fits together and works the way it does/did.
