Okay, so I've kinda sworn off buying any more stuff for awhile as the layout is a shambles and the project pile is reaching the ceiling. However I saw a nice set of refurbished Lionel passenger cars online that looked like someone put a lot of time and effort into...the combination of they're being prewar and refurbished won them for me at the minimum bid:



I figured I'd match 'em up with this LC/MTH 254E and make up a 266E set from 1929-1930...paint matches pretty well:



Once I get the layout back into action I'll have to give these a spin.

I've been slowly recovering pics from Photobucket that I want to hang onto. This one from a few years ago, my take on when The Old Man got discharged from the Navy in December 1947. They cut him loose in San Pedro, California and he spent the next few days crossing the country trying to get home by Christmas. Lots of time spent waiting for trains in rough weather before the last leg on the Pennsylvania RR back to Arbutus, Maryland.

Same to you and all here. The EP-5, is that a K-Line? I have two, one 3-rail and one that has been converted to 2-rail. They are nice motors

That last photo, train station w/ train coming out of the tunnel in a snow-covered landscape is a classic, well worth saving.

I see you are using flickr like Christopher. Good choice [opinion]. After seeing how Christopher does so well with flickr I chose the same service when PhotoBucket shut down my photos and demanded a ransom to release them. I am not paying a ransom.

My first attempt to move a photo directly from PhotoShop to flicker resulted in this message:

100% 3rd party hosting usage? Is something wrong with that?

My second attempt hung flickr up for two hours but once it recovered I found this on flickr:

Wayne - I bring the pic up on Photobucket, right-click "Save As", and put a copy on a thumb-drive. Then I load it into Flickr from there. Tedious, but it works.

The second method I used was almost like yours, except I left the thumb drive out and placed the "Image address" from PhotoBucket directly into Flickr's "File name" when requested.

Thank you for the hint, Healey. I am changing my method to using a thumb drive, that way I have a backup on the thumb drive should Flikr ever kidnap my photos for ransom like PhotoBucket did.

chris is that the conventional classics 2332? if so, i got that set as well and i love it.

According to Chris, it's a repainted original 2332. It even had it's original "buzzer"-type horn. See Weekend Photos - 12/15/17.

Upon a closer look, I now see that; the two-axle Blombergs give it away. The K-Line has three-axle drop-equalizer trucks. The angle of the picture made the motor look longer than it really is.

It's an original 2332 that was restored. Even w/ the one motor, it runs so smooth!

Yeah, it's the 1975 MPC version of the EP5

I agree the 2332 is a great runner...regardless of how many motors it has. I have an original 1949 2332 that I had to donate a lung to buy. Granted its LN, with 100% stripes, with all package material, but I'll never get what I paid for it.......
