I have

Postby ScaleCraft » Tue Jun 27, 2017 12:11 am

A tender from what I believe to be a 6-28699 Christmas 2-8-2.
I believe so because of the remnants of the colors (mostly stripped except for corners), red body, green water deck.
I am keeping the tender.
However, I have just removed:
Plug-in adaptor board.
On/Off switch.
Volume Control.
Speaker with mount.
Plug-in original sound card (I think it's original).
Plus all screws removed put back into their respective holes.
The only thing missing is the plug on the end of the wires that goes to the loco.
This may be control portion in the board, don't know, don't care, but it was plugged into the electromagnetic coupler...which I am keeping, but the harness plug is there.

I will let whoever wants it for exactly what I paid for it, plus shipping.....and since it was free, just the cost of shipping.

This is not a "for sale" posting.

Dave,

I will accept your offer.

Please advise by PM or email (from profile) cost of shipping ... and I will return a USPS money order to you, if acceptable.
Thank you in advance.

Oh, that's just too weird. It went in a Priority box, the receipt I have says it was to be delivered Monday 03JUL17.
5 days later? And dented?
I could have gone First Class and it would have been faster!

Nope, they all go in the same container, so it would have got there at exactly the same moment, you just wouldn't have spent as much.

Dave,

Extended Holiday(s)???

Needed a toke for the trip???

Checked w/the local P.O. on Wed 05JUL2017 @ 16:30 w/tracking #, they said package was awaiting departure, and would now arrive on 07JUL2017.
It may have arrived then, did not get to the P.O. until this A.M.
Package was marked with an E.T.A. of 03JUL2017.

You are correct there.

Fact: 1st Class mail is as fast in 2017 as it was in 1960.
This could be due (in 1960) to more direct routing, less handling, both human and machine, & a little more Love and Care.

Tom is correct, too.
