Happy Friday!
How are done w/ April already? Had another busy week so didn't get much done. I did manage to work on the 'Elizabeth ' area on the layout. Adding some ground cover. I have to add some weeds, a couple of lamp poles & some trackside debris this weekend.

Just after sunrise, NJT ALP45DP 4501 leads a High Bridge bound train across Middle Brook in Bound Brook, NJ on the ex CNJ Raritan Line


NS SD60E 6969 (ex NS SD60 6681) leads 24Z through Piscataway, NJ on the Lehigh Line

Nice shots. I actually crossed over the Lehigh line today on I-287 and later saw a bunch of ConnDot commuter EMU equipent on the New Haven line. No camera, though

Great Lakes Central GP35 393 pulls out of the yard in Owosso, MI. GLC 397 is one of the former Ann Arbor GP35s still used by GLC.

Great photos Christopher. I find the NJT ALP45DP 4501 particularly interesting.
I haven't paid any attention to NJT's German-built engines before.
Surprised to see the pantograph on 4501. Apparently, it can run with onboard diesel or overhead power.
Reminds me of Lionel's Diesel Hudson.

Apparently, it runs on steam or diesel.

The backdrop is commercially available. I got it off the bay. They really do add a lot to the scene. Gives it that needed depth.

The ALP45DP is one of THE ugliest engines I have seen. It is a dual mode, so it aloows them to run it right into Penn Station w/o an engine change.

Not as bad as Chicago. The Tri_State_Tollway is about the most egregious toll road I've ever driven across. The tool booths are about twice as close together as the Garden State and the toll rate was 3x as high. It's pretty hard to get a speeding ticket. You almost get back to interstate speeds when you hit another toll booth.
