They are the repair resource for Seaside Hobbies in Ocean View, Delaware (not sure if that is close to you, Greg...you're on the DelMarVa, aren't you?).

Yes, thank you. They are a little over an hour away. I had them repair an MTH loco and they were very reasonable with a quick turn around. Come to think of it they had a lot of post war stock.

Good to hear. Maybe I'll flip them a note and see if they'd consider taking a crack at the 1096...

Last shot for 2024...the newly acquired Lionel F3 takes the point on the Coast Daylight:

Image

These MTH "Daylight" coaches look pretty good with this single F3, albeit a short train. I have a "full" dome car which I dislike and rarely use, and I don't have a regular coach for the set (something to look for). I do have a K-line REA boxcar that I sometimes run in the set, but not in this photo.

Anyway, a Lionel F3 from 1983 that has sat untouched until tonight. I'm pleased with it.

Hope all here have a terrific New Year and a productive 2025.

I love the daylight colors. Can you take a side shot showing all the cars behind the F3 ?

Is the F3 from the Lionel MPC era ? the 8260 has 2 pullmor motors. Does it have Magne-Traction ?

This is a good video of the AA set. #8260/8262

I don't have enough straight trackage to squeeze in a side-shot pic of the entire train, even in its single F3 and abbreviated consist form. I'll try to get you something.

And yes, the F3 is MPC-era (early 1980s), dual Pull-Mor motors...Magnetraction, I think so but I didn't check.
