Nice work. Looks like a few more years in it now!

Thanks Marty. It had some life in it when I ran power directly to the motors before the rebuild. The wheels and pickups were so rusted from damp storage that the power couldn't get through. A good soaking in Evapo-rust took care of that. It runs great now, and most of its original set is still with it minus a gondola.

Nothing is a better feeling than making something work again.

Nothing much going on here, especially train-related. Found this little Dinky #181 at a local flea-market recently. Covered in dirt, sans tires, a little elbow-grease and some Meguiars Cleaner-Wax brought it back:

I recently found some tap-washers that work well as replacement tires, and fitted a set here. Should be good for another 30-40,000 miles.

CP 141 drifts through Delray Junction in Detroit on January 10th with the Vancouver Olympics unit leading. The bull is driving alongside for a visual inspection.

The first several posts on this page are the type that could be used in a how-to section IMHO.
