I wish I could have gotten more in as well, but this working for living really takes up time.

We are moving to Western PA north of Pittsburgh.

Hey George...I don't recall seeing Andre at York in Murph's old booth-area this past October. Was he missing or was I just comatose at that point and overlooked him? I wanted to check out the footprint of his Niskayuna Station kit.

He was definitely there as I picked up my S.S. Kresge model kit from him.

Yes, and I sent Andre a post-York e-note saying I was hoping he had done well again in "our" spot, and he assured me he had an entirely positive experience and had done well. He sure deserves to . IMO .

Hey, it happens. I had a bunch of things on my "to-do" list this York and so I didn't pay a lot of attention to the numbers of attendees or the "feel" of the meet. A lot of folks thought the meet was less well attended. I was oblivious to that.

Glad you ended up going and had a good time.

That's what it's all about.

I don't have much to report, but the Train Smoker took place on Friday, November 4th. I am still waiting (impatiently ) for the photos to be uploaded so that I can snag them and post them here. We had 14 folks show up, but only 1 kid. He had a blast running trains, as did I think, everyone did. It was a great time!

At this point, I am focused on some possible magazine articles and maybe some work on the Open Hearth animation. No major work is planned for the layout between now and late January. I may chase minor fixes and details on items that are already completed and slated to move to the new layout.

More when I know it.

Just so you know, it will be awhile. The new piers are for the bridge on Panhandle 2.0. So in the very best scenario, they are at least a year in the future.

We are done enhancing the layout. In late January, we will begin tear down. The next few months will be spent on some small projects - decals for vehicles, construction of a couple of idler flats, and maybe some small kits.

I'll wait as long as possible.
I am starting to give some thought to selling some of my smsll "collection" and I use that term very lightly as I have nothing of great monetary value.
I do have some idea what it is worth and I don't want to leave disposal to my family. Please understand that my death is not thought to be in the near
future. I have several collections left to spouses or other family members that have no idea what they have, They seem to think that they have the
crown jewels or a bunch of junk. I think I would rather sell it and use the money for something I want. I'm 82. No, that is not ancient but I am
"getting up there". And don't call me "young man". I worked hard to get this old. I still have some fun but it is getting harder all the time.
So George, I hope to see some of Panhandle II.
