A slight change of direction just for fun.
15 [?] years ago when I was able to be a real model railroader instead of the so called arm chair modeler, the first forums that I found were the ones sponsored by OGR and CTT . I registered, looked in, steeled my courage and asked some questions. Was ignored or told that had already been answered.
I don't remember how I found MTJ but after registering, watching, steeling courage again, I asked some questions. Strangely, I got answers. Useful answers. I was quite serious with my forum questions and answers. Then I found some posts by *****, ***, ***, ****, ***** and some others that let
me see that it was not all dead serious here as on other forums. MTJ has become a part of my life. I have met in person less than 10 of the MTJ posters.
I feel like I "know" many more and wish that I did. If serious answers are needed they can be found on MTJ. If some fun is needed it can also be found
here on MTJ. For me MTJ has been a great source of inspiration. In particular *****, ***** and *******. I probably should go back and remove all names because I don't want to slight anyone and I am sure that many more names should be mentioned. I am going to do just that so if some sentences don't make good sense this is why.
One last thing. I probably would not have been able to write most of this on other forums.

Updated 10/29/2016:

Did some major clean-up around the layout today in preparation for the Train Smoker coming up soon. Still debating about the Weirton area. I have it covered with masonite, but I wondering if I should do something else. It might end up being a display area for photos of Weirton.

Spent most of the evening getting the trainroom ready for Friday's Smoker. We have a few things left on our 30-item checklist, but the major OCD impulses have been satisfied.
