Interesting detail there being the picture on the wall within the picture; clever.

I've not seen this specific one before but other like it. Also there are similar exercises that group together those distinctive rock & roll personalities.......subject matter there is stating to grow exponentially.

Have been pretty busy with non-MRR activities, but I did get this done.

These are the cleats that the bridge will sit on. The screws and washers will be painted black.

Looking good George. I wish I was in your mode right now. I was all hopped up on my back drops and they wouldn't work because I had a painted surface I was going to mount them on. Turns out that's a big no no. I sent them back and got the 'paint compatible version' They arrived and they are still sitting in the box.

Good point. That handsome bridge sure does draw the eye. Plus, it sets up great expectations for the real-estate left, right, forward, and aft of that beauty, doesn't it.
You're going to have such fun, George, making the whole panorama say what you want it all to say. That's a wonderful adventure you are on,and I am glad you are sharing it with us here.

You'll be disappointed (you likely will not feel that for a while but..) when the whole creative effort is brought to full fruition, I predict, because despite the work that such endeavors can become, they sure are satisfying, in so many ways to us, and we miss the excitement and challenge of it all. I'll theorize that you will continue to sharpen and re-interpret various areas and details for a whole long time ahead, even long after it is (allegedly) "completed."

I think it's both; at least, it has been for me. The adventure of initiating and re-doing my layout from 1995 - 200? has been fun, and having the layout as a personal treasure to run for myself, for guests, or to simply walk past and smile with self-satisfaction, on the way out the cellar door, all of it is enjoyable. In fact, in my case, I enjoyed the creative adventure so much I have been going to other hobbyists' homes to work on their layouts, too,in addition to offering, for a time now past, portable vignettes (which I call my "Insta-Ramas") for purchase and emplacement by other layout owners on their 1/48 worlds.

Having never completed what seems an endless journey with the current layout, I have no idea what will happen or be felt upon completion, if that ever does come to pass.

Mine is more of just this aspect and as a test bed for the cars, trolleys, etc that I build.

Well, apparently ,we are kindred spirits in this regard, Rufus. Here's is an example of such thinking, on my part. The old neighborhood (top photo) was a total joy to craft, along the way and upon completion. I really liked it. Then, after a couple years, I stripped the site clean and began again, with a whole new idea, one that (however clumsily approximate) reflected memories from a youth in the Pittsburgh area.

Roger, You had asked me about more photos of the areas of change on my layout, presented in the OGR Run for June/July, 2016, so here are a few of those shots and perspectives for your notice.
