Milestone accomplished on my layout today

Postby v8vega » Fri Jun 14, 2024 3:42 pm

I've been working for quite a while on getting a 2nd loop on my layout operational. I'm now 81, my balance is terrible so things go slow plus other obligations. Sometimes I have a hard time soldering feeders to Gargraves. It runs good except I have to speed up my test loco on a certain spot so I have to work on that. Just wanted to report.

Congrats! It always feels great when you get things accomplished on the layout at 81 years old! I once heard soldering naked improves the quality of the soldering joints. Be careful!

I thought I have a lot of money in trains but as I watch 3 rail YouTube videos I see a lot of people have way more than me. My stuff is mostly postwar and pre 1996 conventual
