I have seen pictures of the inside of a signal box. There are a lot of levers inside. I guess the levers control signals.

Today I ran across a video of a signal man operating the levers. Interesting but I did not see any signals controlled by the levers.

I do not have a Hornby Switch Tower. I did not mean to mislead yáll. It was just an image I ran across while researching British Signal Towers.

A few years back, I actually made a paper version of the Hornby tower as Paul Race drew it for his Tribute to Tinplate site (I very likely have posted these before). I made a few changes to Paul's graphics and cut the windows, doors, and staircase out to give it a bit of depth:



I wish I had added more window shades, as that would have given it a bit more interest. It currently sits on the mainline just in front of the 305 Hells Gate Bridge. It shows up in most photos of this part of the layout:

Some stuff prints in vivid colors, others not so much. Definitely not the old WYSIWYG days.

I finished going through the estate sale lot I bought a few weeks back. There was some stuff in there worth hanging onto or sending elsewhere, but most of it was broken-up postwar stuff worth not much more than the parts. Still, there were a few interesting things in the pile. Here's a Williams B&O Sentinel Service boxcar that looks to have been a custom run for the Baltimore Packaging Company:



The cars in Williams' "Classic" series are pretty nice because they are very close to O-scale sized (aside from the wheel flanges and the lobster-claw couplers). It's an interesting car that I'll likely hang onto.

Been watching videos on ZW repair; the ZW in the lot will, at a minimum, need to be re-corded. Looks a bit fiddly, lol.
