As I watch YouTube videos I am surprised how many people have them, often with a switch in them too. You sure aren't doing that in HO.

Talgo mounts. Body mounts with very short cars, maybe. Otherwise a full car length between ends of curves.
In half zero, Tyco, Lima, all the cheap toy sets of old were Talgo mounts. Just difficult to actually back trains up that way if they are any decent length.
