Looking at the latest Lionel catalog has me thinking we have indeed returned to the Kughn era of high-priced locomotives overwhelmingly targeting the collector market.

And yes, that is ghastly.

Might derail a lot on switches with long ridiged wheelbase.

Ouch! What's the price for this ghastly 2-10-4?

I'm guessing most buyers will stick it under a display case and not run it. I'm thinking v8vega is probably right about its running characteristics.
