Hard to believe that sound is even a criteria for buying a model train. I'd think that wanting a decent model that runs well would be something more important.

As a scale model, zippo, but as a toy, likely quite a bit. Anyone who would expect a serious scale representation at this price point is delusional (IMHO).

Well, yes, but these people foaming over a Menards product are already well past delusional, and maybe in need of professional assistance.

Might as well just give them a push toy on the carpet to play with and make their own sounds in Ward 7.

Love the

Compatible with O gauge train cars including MTH and Lionel

Can you imagine an automobile company touting that their vehicle is compatible with most roads including state and federal highways!

Wonder how well/long all of that plating on the couplers and side frames is going to last? Talk about places where silver paint would have been appropriate. Plus the screw up with the war bonnet paint job. I guess it qualifies as a rare factory error as there are only 200.

I thought the top question was how well does it smoke?

Good puller. 'Review" video shows it pulling a string of 18" passenger cars with no problem, at high speed of course.

I thought the top question was how well does it smoke?

Until the wiring harness shorts out it doesn't.

Can you imagine an automobile company charging you $15,000 to beta test some low budget concept sedan that hasn't been road tested?
