Re: Sub-Par from Sublime 2025
I had trouble recognizing that it was a 2025.
See anything good about it?

Re: Sub-Par from Sublime 2025
I have better ones on my parts shelf.
My first steamer was my 225E, followed by first run 726 (rough), then I bought a 2025 (same as a 675) at the Train Shop at Knott's Berry Farm for $15.00. Cash. With a tender. Then he put it on the track and it ran flawlessly....and still does.
It's my "experimental" loco Any mods I want to perform on the fleet gets done there first. May no make it to the rest of them.
I cut the coal pile out, side sheets, foam pad in the bottom, then coal...so it's half full.
Also pickup rollers on both tender trucks, wired to engine...no disruption on switches.
So, the answer is, I see nothing there. Rust makes motor block questionable, and all the usable parts are gone anyway.
If they'd tested it and it ran, ten bucks if I needed another motor block.
And I have NEVER had to completely replace a Lionel motor block.
