The package sealing tape just ruined that "vintage" track. When you try to remove it you will also be removing the vintage rust and crud 
.
Brown twine would have been a better choice. It would enhance that "vintage" angle and seem more period appropriate to the discerning buyers this seller is aiming for would truly appreciate.
That tape just looks silly.
