Weekend Photos

Postby christopher2035 » Fri Feb 22, 2019 9:39 am

Happy Friday!

Picked up some more LTI items that were on my wishlist as a kid.

The 18004 Reading Pacific always caught my eye for some reason. ( no clue why, but as a kid I always wanted it). It has the distinction of being the last Lionel to feature the MPC era SoS & electronic whistle. It's seen here pulling a consist of Williams Madison cars -

Love the 18004 with its Flyer-like white-walls...sharp-looking locomotive.

What are these cars behind the locomotives? Plywood empties?:

Image

The angle of the shot has them looking a bit strange.

This scene is on a friend's layout in Springfield Mo. He bought it from a person who used to sell these at York. Want to take a guess at who made it.

Marty didn''t say where the pics were from, but it looks like it could have been taken in Cresson, Pa. If I recall there were lights there by the railfanning deck? Might be wrong. At any rate, it looks like vandalism to me.

They were taken in Leetsdale, between Beaver and Pittsburgh. South of Conway Yard.
