How do you get into the control area. Is that a crawl under or maybe the section lifts out ?

You accomplished the early postwar look. Looks like some of the plans from my Model Builders Handbook that I lusted after in the late 40s. Now you need a few prewar trains to go with this.

Here is a link for you to all the model builder magazines from 1937 through 1949. They are in PDF format so you can download them to have.

I used 2 old track plans from the late 40s ( may have been published in MB) as the inspiration for this. I am VERY tempted to get some prewar gear, but that's a slippery slope! I keep resisting but I know I'll wind up with some down the road. I'm going to check out those MBs

I love prewar and early postwar. That is my favorite. And yes getting into prewar is a slippery slope. There is something about metal vs plastic that is attractive to me. I like American Flyer accessories as well as I do Lionel.

My mistake on the Model Builder Magazine Archive. You can look at them but not actually download them. They had this differently a few year ago when I first got them.

Gotta go for it, Christopher...the stuff rocks!

There's a lot of operator-grade gear out there, and the prices are falling.
