I Purchased a Lobaugh 0-6-0 on the bay, unfortunetly with out the tender ( what is it about splitting up steam locos into two ) I had to wait patiently for my daughter to make a trip down under to Aussy with the three grand kids.( her husband flys for United and so that happens more often now ). So it arrived ( she said it attracted alot of interest from customs ) and what suprised me was how big it is, I thought it would be smaller, is it 17/64. Im realy pleased with it looks great to me. Ive always wonted one and now I have one. I hop you will feel free to expound on this not so little 0-6-0. Thanks

I believe Stevenson Preservation 0-6-0s are ex Lobaughs. He used to sell tenders but I am not seeing them now. Might be worth an enquiry.

There are two different sizes of Lobaugh 0-6-0s. The smaller ones have lots of lost wax brass, including the well-detailed cylinder block. The smaller ones also have weaker frames, so the pedestal binders are held with flathead screws.

A Lobaugh switcher tender went by on eBay a while back. I am not sure what word should attach to splitting up components - rude? Sacreligious? Blasphemy? or just greed.

I think I can post photos of both types of switchers. I may post another link to my SP Steam book, which you can look at if you don't wish to spring for the big bucks.

And here is my scratchbuilt version - mostly copied off the HO Roundhouse version, and done on a 3-day weekend while I was still pretending to be gainfully employed. My run started at Las Vegas at 1 AM and stopped in New York as the sun came up, so I really needed the 3 days as recovery time. What a fun way to pretend to be working! It has now been 30 years since I touched a jet transport. Except (ugh) in a passenger seat.

Are you looking for a Lobaugh tender? Which one?

Thanks Bob for the picks and info. Mine has a typical Lobaugh frame, I’m guessing the Prat has a solid cast frame, drilled for axles? The details are lost wax, with sand cast boiler front, the cylinders are cast but quite plain, but with nickel silver cylinders ( Central Loco Works maybe? )It appears to have been. Super detailed. It has thous curved leases at the corner where the cab roof overhang and cab meets, as your Prat has. So still not sure, but still feels big, and I like it!!!

See them just fine. 17/64 Pratt. A Stevenson tender will be too small.

If you can't find the larger tender, consider a "sausage?" You can make s credible sausage tender from a tank car kit. Or a 1 3/4" dia brass tube.

Thanks Bob that was what I was worried about that it was 1764 Scale and the tender if 1/4 Scale would be all wrong, your suggestion sounds like the way to go. It currently won’t go, so some work to do.

This is a Stevenson NYC 0-6-0 I started a few years ago. I focus on NYC in O scale. Still have to get to Utica is get photos of the prototype to finish the piping.
He is still showing NYC/NKP 0-6-0s with tenders so may have some of those to sell.
