I, of course, did all of the locomotives and built most of the rolling stock kits. The PSC Heavyweights are untouched except for some truck work and couplers. The first locomotive you will see was the subject of a ten-issue build series in 48/ft O Scale News.

Seriously this is a great video and your models run smoothly and quietly.

Using different size drivers is so the two engines go out of sink is something I'd never heard of before......really amazing.

It is the gearbox ratios - The effect is really subtle, but periodic. You cannot see the periodicity unless it is pointed out - like Jim expertly did.

There is a certain amount of joy in seeing an articulated mechanism smoothly glide through horrible trackwork and too much superelevation. The loops have been in place over a quarter century, and things move around a bit. Derailments have to be minimized, since several areas have no guardrails.

I did have an uncoupling incident while filming - the nice PSC observation car came uncoupled on an undulating section of a curve - fixed it by slipping skinny ties under the low part.

I enjoyed seeing trains running on your layout Bob.
