The B/W photos looks absolutely real. The big giant troll in the color photos lessens that affect.

Gemini from Google AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) assistant launched last week is putting me out of it! No need for models just AGI it!

Erik, I laughed like crazy with that GG 1 photo! Reminds me of in the 70's, Mantua put out a Tyco GG 1 shell on top of 2 6-wheel trucks. Now, that was bizarre. Lo and behold, there are some on the bay right now. VBG

The point Erik made, "This may be an original beautiful Mike Danneman shot of a UP/DRGW coal train he took in 2004 on film. Hours in a car, long hike, climb, work, effort, and any other scenario, honest hard work we all do to source our images; just to be hacked by some damn algorithm, spit out with some colorized 1950’s GG1, that a photographer was also taken advantage of as well by this stupid *** technology."

Erik, I don't think Gemini or other AI program stole Dannerman's image; it was a person, a person who intended to make a joke out of an artist's work.
Despite copyright laws, it seems that if you post a photo online, you have just given it away.

To make the problem worse, there are so many watermark removers available that Gemini gave up counting them when I asked.
One Example: https://notegpt.io/ai-watermark-remover

Did you notice the response you got on this subject? Ha, ha!

Parallel problem, guns don't kill people, people kill people. Guns make it easier.

The vast majority have no knowledge or understanding of most things in life....especially those that are most import. Everyone aspires to be a movie star, rock star, sports figure or celebrity..............not intelligent or have common sense. The new belief seems to be "it's more important how you look than how you behave".

Here is the original photo by J. W. Stanfield taken with a Nikon D750 on 2025:05:21 at 18:36:56.

Would you believe JW Stanfield (the artist who owns the original copyrighted photo) is the one who used Gemini AI to put the GG1 in his own photo?
