Changing the road number on a 3rd Rail F3 and the NB inserts are made of acetate and about as thick as the old 35mm film. The adhesive used at the factory holds well, but pretty easily removed once you get a corner loose and appears to be somewhat flexible....................definitely not a CAA or a hard drying glue.
Scott suggested Elmer's, I had wondered about "Goo", but whatever I use I definitely don't want to distort, melt or discolor the inserts.
Suggestions?
Best glue for acetate to painted surface
Re: Best glue for acetate to painted surface
Either watch-crystal cement or Testors canopy glue. I keep supplies of both. I’ve been using the latter a lot, lately; handles like Elmers/PVA but engineered for plastic model airplane canopies. Flexible but non-solvent so no fears about etching. Dries very clear.

Thanks Sarge! That's exactly what I needed to know. I'll order some.
