Well I changed my signature to

“Don’t blame me. I’m one of the 74+ million.”

and I got smacked down for being political with an email explaining I could accept it or leave the forum.

Well, thin skinned?

Yes - they will allow prayer groups, but no politics. It is tempting to try a Wiccan prayer, or maybe Muslim.

I have decided that the problem here is there are a lot of 2-railers who want to sign up, but the system won't let them. I am aware of three!

They have their rules plainly posted. You're in their "House", abide by their rules or leave or get booted. Sounds fair to me. You want politics, go over to the Club Car.

Someone comes in your place and pisses on the carpet, you gonna tolerate it? Same kinda deal!

And not to get this thread hustled off to the clubhouse where "stop the steal" folks seem to predominate, but my guess would have been that the management of NK more or less agrees with you. They have not said that, but doesn't censorship sort of go along with what Trump wanted to do in his second term? Get rid of the fake media and "New York Times v Sullivan"?

It's the CLUB CAR, not clubhouse, and that's where this thread needs to go. Doesn't have anything to do with 2 rail. I'm done with this mess.

Edit typo

What I stated was not a overt political jab. It was humor. Something sadly lacking today.

The problem is, it doesn't look like humor to either side. I sort of agree with Rich - this ought to be a 2-rail forum. Problem is, nobody is posting 2-rail stuff, so even Rich is sucked into this thread.

My thoughts are that the advantage of MTJ over OGR is we can pretty much type anything we want.

How about a 2-rail photo, to get us back on the rails and make Rich happy? (And me - I get enough politics on emptywheel).

I agree that is is pretty innocuous, but it is POLITICAL, even if mildly so. Their board, their call, regardless of your position. Check out the "Never question a Drunk" thread in the Club Car. Dang near has to be a couple in there you'll like. There is also some pretty good/funny stuff in the "Seen In Print" thread.

Tried to post 2 rail photos, but was told forum quota has been reached.

It's been that way for quite a while. You need to have an outside hosting facility. You can also post a link.
Old software here. Just thinking you could post your Pic on OGR and link to it. That would be revenge of a sort.

If someone throws a stone at you, throw a flower at them. Remember to throw the flower pot with it.

Bob, I was able to contact the moderator and give him the name of a fellow who had been trying to join for months. Since I haven't heard back from Mr. Brown (new member) I assume he was successful.

Following is a copy of the email I received explaining why requests are slow to happen without direct contact with him. I think it will be okay to post it here so all can see.

Bob, if you want to send him the contact info for the 3 fellows who want to join, I can send you the moderators direct email address. I won't post if here for obvious reasons.

Thanks for emailing.
Because of the the way the forum was originally set up we typically get about 50-75 bogus membership requests from bots every day, which makes finding and approving a legitimate new membership request near impossible. The bots are very good. Right now the only way I know of to upgrade the security features to prevent the onslaught of bots entails updating the software running the forum. The problem with that is there is a very good possibility that doing so will wipe out the current users and existing posts. So for the foreseeable future hopefully new folks can continue to reach out.
I believe you mentioned someone from UA seeking membership for a while. Please forward me the email address and user name they tried to use if you know it so I can see if I approve them.
