We are Roger Roush's family. We have logged on to share our sad news to the model train forum. While on vacation with our parents (Roger and Ruthlane Roush) this past week, our father suffered an aortic aneurysm rupture. Unfortunately, our dad passed away on the morning of August 1. We will be celebrating his life at a memorial service soon. We know that he enjoyed this forum and would often share information with us about the forum. He will be greatly missed. While our hearts are heavy, we know he is riding trains in heaven. Thank you. The Roush Family.

Please accept my sincerest condolences.

Roger was a gentleman; there can be no higher accolade.

I for one shall miss his voice of reason.

Our most sincere condolences which is woefully inadequate.

Roger was one of the few whose conversations and emails brightened the day with reason and wisdom, and wit.

We have lost one of our best.

A gentleman indeed, one whose patience and joy seemed boundless. This cool summer day, I heard my neighbor's nine year-old daughter practicing her clarinet; if anyone could appreciate that racket, it would be Roger. Sincerest condolences and best wishes to his family, and to Roger, may he have fair winds and following seas. It was an honor to have shared this place with him.

I am so deeply saddened to read this. We had planned a visit (partly to photograph the Arock and Hardplace RR) but the damn virus put paid to that. He will be sorely missed.

We all are a mist that appears for a little while and then disappears.

Roger Roush
June 23, 1934 -- August 1, 2021 (87)

Roger our friend has fallen asleep.

I pray that our creator will remember Roger for the kind, loving, gentle man that he was.
