Maybe you should go see if he is OK!

Won't open in FireFox....but did in my alternate browser.
Large Scale shXt. #1 gauge.
I got nauseated looking at all the aristotrash. Bunch of USA...gave up in Lets Go Broke (LGB).
That GG1 is LS. You can see by the couplers. Not conclusive, but most likely. Not sure I'd run a weird gauge (scale used for Lionel 3-rail Standard Gauge) on Goofy Gauge trucks.
Prices aren't bad. Now. Eight days to go, the stupid will shake out before then.

"There were only 58 of the Bob Hendrich designed Standard gauge GG-1's ever produced. They are sometimes also found in G gauge 2-rail, as several units were fitted with G gauge trucks."

Yeah, that's the deal. Lots of stuff looks good initially, then there seems to be folks out there with more money than brains and the price skyrockets.

That picture fooled me as well - the "split in the middle" is really a pair of elastic bands holding the GG1 to a wood base.

There was a real one that was damaged in a wreck that was about 2/3 original length. It was blocked off (the damaged end), and I think it was used as a switcher. I wasn't able to find images, but there are some out there. Odd looking thing!

Shuttlesworth did the Moire pattern. I did the Alclad II stainless paint. Doorstops! Love 'em:

I think that looks really nice.
All that it might need is a railroad name and number.
But that might change how smooth it looks now.
