You'll Never Top This One Dave!

I saw this too, a very sophisticated repro design too, since otherwise it's hard to save your tape roll core after the last strip is used.
This clever merchant offering us the essential "prophylactic" to protect the highly fragile nose decaling on the Lionel 204 FA with it's early EMD f unit scheme for the modest price of $#24.95 plus $5 shipping.
Brilliant.

Too bad he didn't re-produce the actual NOSE protector. Or maybe the coupler protector moved the impact point up and back and cracked the nose, showing up in paint distress.
Collectors will go nuts. Now they can display their rare, vintage, collectible Lionel FA's with the proper coupler ring on both ends.

Give him credit for audacity,

If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking.

Now that it has been seen, why would anyone need to buy it?
Should have some laying around the shop.
You suppose someone dared him to do this? You suppose anyone will buy it?

I wonder how you would safely wrap, package and ship that?
What kind of insurance do you provide?
