Yeah, rivets I think. Heavy. Got motors and A-N trucks, just no time. Have to attach "shelves" inside lower edge. Someone tried and failed.

I've got F-3's, A-N, in NP freight, Kemtron Geep in NP Canoe.

It would be a labor of love by a hobbyist with time available. Again, it is of the size engine that I would very much like to have....small 2-8-0. There are not a many options in this regard; few at all in O scale.

Most of this thing went to Carey - but I just found this photo - at a distance, maybe not a totally ugly model. Still, no quality . . .



Lobaugh tender, and boiler reinforcements, I think. Originally a gift from Seacrest, who probably had more doorstops than Carey and me put together!

I saw that. Strange things are happening to doorstops lately! As I recall, it doesn't even have a tender.

As far as I can tell, I am one lucky dude. I collected all my antiques when Lobaugh was $300 and Scale Craft was half that!

Back to the Thomas - I do not have a Thomas locomotive to "mike" out the sheet metal. I can tell you I have three Thomas tank cars, and they really needed reinforcements where the domes go -

I can no longer find .010 brass - I think I have a six by two foot sheet somewhere - but it is only good for overlays and boiler bands. Real boilers need to be .020 or more. I am almost positive the Thomas is a lot thinner than that.

Opinion. Since I cannot verify any of that.

I've got a couple of Thomas tank cars as well in basket/kit form and I think I have a round faced micrometer somewhere, I'll try to dig em out and measure. I tend to pick up old Brown and Sharpe and Starrett stuff as well just like doorstops, the older the better lol
