I no longer have this in my possession as it went to auction a dozen years ago. Was always curious on the maker of this NYC Niagara. Tender, if I recall was tin sided (note the surface rust). Most other parts bronze and or brass. Can't remember too much about the details. Not sure if I even took the boiler off to check out the motor. Most likely ran when the leads were temporarily attached. But who knows. So, any idea on maker?

Thanks, Carey. No, I have no idea now where it went or the names of the buyers of things that were sold. All I remember is the Triplex went to Japan. I'm surprised no one here yet chimed in and said "hey I bought that"! :D :D :D

Looking for a place to post this - my guess is a Scale Craft SP Pacific with an All Nation Mountain tender. I have plenty of Scale Craft, but the market is going nuts, and this looks like a comparatively low price:

Reason I looked is my old pen pal Dan Kerelko wanted the Ferris version.

I was watching that Scale craft pacific, not sure if it just ended with no bids or was sold, but I intend to keep an eye out lol

Edit, looks like it was sold upon further review. One thing I noticed that would bug me was that sand dome being installed on an angle in the taper section.
I was thinking about what you said before Bob, and 73.5" drivers for the P13 would be right at 1.627" in 17/64 scale lol so the normal SC 1-5/8" drivers should be about right if you assume the whole thing at 17/64.

That was a indeed a decent price for a Scale Craft P-13, looked clean too despite it's "C&NW-ization."
There is one of these brutes on the downtown club and it is a great looking and running model, with a huge open face motor that can handle nine Walther's/AN/Alexander HW's with ease, also one of the oldest locomotives on the club to boot.

One of my favorites.

The rest of this sellers listings are interesting as well, though the inconsistent (and often wildly optimistic) pricing is enough to give the viewer whiplash. Also he has an interesting FIVE car LWS Zephyr set in there for $500.

which I'm sure this seller doesn't appreciate

Kinda like Rinderceller and one of her Fugly sisters ain't it!

Love that steamer!

PS: Seems to me I read somewhere that Jan offered them (at different times) as a kit and a built up. Wondering if those two might be examples with the $500 listing being the built up version?
