Postby Carey Williams » Wed Nov 08, 2017 11:38 am

Hello all

Welcome to the wonderful world of Thomas ...
Bob was very kind to send out the Consolidation ( thank you Bob) .. ( Consolidation was seen previously with magna traction ...along with several other Thomas photos and ads at posting
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17270&start=15 )

Joe had mention the brass and die cast cabs ....
below you can see a photo of the cast cab ( early) on the 040 and die cast sides and brass roof later on the Consolidation. also notice similarity and differences between the two engines ...

At York Myron Biggar was selling his bound volume run of O scale / gauge Railroading ....so two boxes were carried out to the car ... magazine run has a sprinkling of vintage ... Old and Rare series has some fun and totally new materiel..... also several articles by Bob

Dec 1990 Martin Ackroyd wrote an article covering the Thomas history within the "Old and Rare" series . Please refer to your library or OGR has back issues digitally ..or ebay will secure you a copy

Cheers Carey
