Hello all
Can any one identify a pair of E units ? ....please
Body seems to be brass ... cast pilot , back , under belly , thick brass frame older type of trucks and drive .... modified to 3 rail with tinplate couplers and flanges. Nicely painted and signed by artist "Buck Cleveland" ...from 2002 ..... each unit is 10 pounds and 18" long ....
Any help appreciated .
Cheers Carey

Don't know for sure - but I am officially jealous. They might be Jack Raymus bodies - look for Adams & Son logo on the inner roof.

Not Raymus bodies. Note the difference in aspect ratio of those side windows. Here is mine - time to solder it together.

These are quite different from the more common units we see. I have a set of Pamona Valley diesels that are in some ways similar. But only in some ways, and then only similar. Does anyone else have PV diesels they can compare to these? Are the ends truly a casting and not brass sheet with a casting soldered to it?

Hello all
Thank you for your kind comments...I forgot to add the photo showing the artist's signature ... and the over all interior construction ....seems to be all brass sheets soldered together ...( way above my pay scale ....)
Steve I'll re check the back of the engines to see construction ..they are unique .

Hello all
I stand corrected ..the ends are flat brass and a thicker piece soldered in the center .... pilot appears to be carved/ machined / whittled ? out of solid brass ...so no castings on the body .... truck frames yes....
during the rebuild / repaint ...the engine was 3 railed ( center rail ... oh no !) .. tinplate wheels swapped out on the non drive trucks ..so it will be an easy switch back to match the drive wheels .
So did someone scratch build the entire engine and add old trucks ? ( which may not have been new at the time of the construction) .
Cheers Carey

Not a chance they were early Japanese imports?
