I doubt that I could help, but you might indicate whether you are buying or selling? What little I saw of Ed's work producing kits I would rank below Locomotive Workshop by a good bit.

I had 3 of Ed's steam engines; still have 2. Really good solid basic stuff that probably proves that a resin cast steam engine was actually a viable option vs. other materials. I also at one time had Ed's molds for the N&W M class 4-8-0. Fun stuff to play with.

Actually I was asking about his log cars, not locomotives, either brass, cast, or resin. I bought 4 of these log cars on eBay back when I was buying everything in sight after my house/layout burned down. For the life of me cannot remember what I paid for them. It turns out they are really too long for my smallish layout. They didn't look that long in the pictures. They are nice basic log cars and when I started looking into them I discovered the Adirondack Car and Foundry was Ed's cottage business. All I remember about Ed was his fascination with battery power and everybody busting his balls about it! Sadly he passed on.

The main reason I was looking for some info on them was I like to sell them person to person on forums and "O scale Yard-sale" where you need to name a price as it's not an auction.

If anyone can help me on my question, I would be grateful.

Nope, no idea, but I'd bet if you can get your hands on some back issues of the late 'O Scale News' you might find Ed's ads in there. Mine are packed away somewhere, or I'd try and help.....maybe someone else here has some.

Thanks E7, that is a great idea. If you meant "O scale Rails", the back issues are available somewhere on line. I just found a website for "O Scale News" but the back issues section is "under construction", and has a copyright date of 2009 so I don't think it will get done!! If you have a minute one day, I'd appreciate you checking.

Would have been in O Scale News - Ed did these when OSN was still an active concern.

Are far as I know there is no index or on-line repository for OSN. That certainly could be created, but I have no idea who might even really own the copyright to that material.

Roger that, E7. His gruff was evident in his posts where somebody asked or made a truly lame question or comment (yes, Martha, there IS such a thing as a stupid question) that added nothing to the conversation. I used to laugh and imagine an older duffer bent over his keyboard banging out a reply!!
