I think Burner has had this one in his shop. He's added the missing rivets to the cab.

Maybe, again, and maybe naught.
I have seen one of these kludges before. Maybe brass boiler.
They whacked the motor blocks up so badly to get them to swivel under the boiler...ten bux is not on.
One I saw had all the metal that could be cut off around the field cut off. Reverse units removes (I think it was hard-wired forward).
But we'll see. Wait until the 25th and get your bid in!

Something like this tends to make me doubt of credibility of anything offered by Stout Auctions.

Bob is still in shock that MMW came to Chicago with some partial brass samples and the main "PR" spokesman was not there at the unveiling.

I am actually pleased that MMW is not "pie in the sky." I have met Erik, and think he is a very nice guy. Thse ventures do not often succeed. When they do, it is good for all of us.

Stout starts that thing at ten bucks. I am not a tinplate expert, but I bet those tender trucks are worth ten bucks plus shipping. If bidders want to drive it up to a grand, I am available to watch now and then. Easier if you just post the final price.

Better to offer junk at junk prices than to offer good stuff at triple the market price?

Wow! I'd have a second non-prototypical 2-6-6-4 to go with my General Models one!
But this one looks like it will take QUITE a bit more work to get into anything
resembling a half-way decent model of a locomotive. I'm going to let the "collectors"
collect it.....

Maybe I should purchase it and convert it to 2 rail....NAH!
