When we understand that each day isn’t one more day, but one less, we’ll start giving more value to the things that truly matter.

I read a post on another forum from someone who said how happy they were that Koh's had entered into the HO market. I thought the poster was joking but he wasn't: Kohs.com - HO scale Union Pacific 'Challenger' Project Update

I build models and used to post that here and no one cared, so tell me why I should bother.....

Dead, but nothing to do with having to log in or not if Club Car is any indication. And Marty, you need to lower your expectations. This ain’t a modelling forum. You’re trying to hold bible-study-group in a saloon. GRIN!

I hate to agree but Sarge is right.
Even so, it's still the best place for me.

I support thread drift.

There are six of us - once we finish with eBay outrages, we are out of breath. In the last three years, three fellow modelers have contacted me for help signing up at MTJ. I have no special pull or connection here, but somehow we have managed to get two signed up. I forget who I contacted.

That, the photo situation, and me having to log in every two days may be slowing us down. Emphasis on may, please.

As to the clubhouse lounge - that place is outrageous. Outrage is what powers conspiracy theorists. The lone voices that counter the more outrageous stuff are well-meaning, but they are simply talking to a wall. And correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like there are only six (outraged) posters there.

I read this morning that one in every six Americans truly believes that government officials (presumably Democrats, but it didn't say that) eat babies and little children for nourshment. One in six! (Not sure I believe that, but go visit the clubhouse for entertainment).

Man, talk about bored? I need to get off the couch and do some rib-stitching.

If they get any lower, it'll turn into OGR

This ain’t a modelling forum.

Sadly, the modeling forum that I really liked imploded and has not returned with a software upgrade....

You’re trying to hold bible-study-group in a saloon.

Not really; I've pretty well given up on the 2 rail section as having any real interest in model trains and/or building models.

Your biggest issue is, there are precious few people interested in late 19th century railroading. You're a minority (19th century) within a minority (O Scale). If you think other people are here for your entertainment or to promote the things you like, you're delusional. If you want to build models, go build them and stop whining! If you post stuff other people find interesting, you will solve your own problem.

Hey! There are very few of us, and we are all friends!
I would whine too - but I am doing my part.

Okay guys, we're all older adults here and supposed to be wiser for our life experiences. Small amounts of modeling is better than none and we all know that. I rather enjoy this forum and always learn something I didn't know, so I hate to see anyone abandon it. We are all old cranky b*stards and that is life. We have good days and bad, so let's not wear our feelings on our sleeves and get too serious about any comments. We've lost a great many 2R'ers (lots of reasons) from this forum since I joined a long time ago and I don't want to lose any more.

I'm still hoping we'll get some new blood. But, I have heard of this forum being referenced as a bunch of cranky old SOB's, who just like to complain and fight about everything. Maybe they don't know we've earned every scar, but it still doesn't need to be that way. Let's make it modeler friendly and maybe that will help.

No, I'm not being "Suzy Sunshine", just stating the facts as I see them.

UP, thank you. I too enjoy this forum, even though I'm not much of a modeler. :)
